There’s something sacred about telling a love story. Not just the butterflies and banter—though I love those too—but the deeper kind. The kind of love that holds space for brokenness. The kind that reflects God’s heart more than a Hallmark script.

That’s why I write Christian romance.

Not because the world needs more love stories—but because it needs more stories about the Source of love.

💗 Writing for the Wounded

Every time I sit down to write, I think about the reader who’s sitting somewhere with a heavy heart—maybe she’s been through betrayal, or heartbreak, or a season of feeling unseen. I write for her.

And because I’ve learned that healing often begins in small, unexpected places—like a story.

Whether it’s a character recovering from trauma (like Grace in Beauty for Ashes) or one rediscovering her worth after deep shame, I want each page to echo this truth:

God’s love is gentle, relentless, and willing to meet us in the mess.

Two Names, One Heart

You might also know me by my Amish pen name, Amy Yoder.

Under that name, I write clean, faith-filled Amish romances—stories grounded in simplicity, tradition, and the quiet beauty of obedience and restoration.

Whether I’m writing about a woodworker in Hope Hollow or a runaway bride in Bird-in-Hand, my mission stays the same:

To tell stories where love is sacred, forgiveness is real, and God is never far.

Why Christian Romance?

Because it’s more than a genre. It’s a ministry.

Romance that honors God doesn’t shy away from struggle—it leans into it with hope. It reminds us that love, at its best, is a reflection of something eternal. And that even in the deepest heartbreak, redemption is possible.

That’s what I write.

That’s what I pray you’ll find in every book that bears my name.
